| Job Description | Our client is increasing its capability in Northern British Columbia
based out of the Cariboo. An exceptional opportunity exists for a
qualified Service Technician to join the BC North team immediately to
assist and achieve their growth requirements. The successful Field
Technician will be responsible for increasing the reliability of
customer's compressors, dryers and pumps, by providing technical
support which includes installation, commissioning, performance
diagnosis, maintenance and repair and customer support. The geographic
service area comprises of Prince George to 100 Mile House South, to
Chetwynd in the North East and Prince Ruper in the West. Our client
base comprises of sawmills, mines, municipalities, light and heavy
industry and energy sector customers RESPONSIBILITIES: Working with our team Service Co-ordinator, Service Supervisor, Territory Sales Personnel, Parts Co-ordinator and other Field Technicians you will have strong communication skills with your team and customers. Field travel to client locations on a daily basis with Service Truck; tools, laptops, cell phone, Spot/GPS and instrumentation provided. * Daily contact with Service Co-ordinator for client orders, scheduling of appointments and end of day paperwork completion * Ensure all parts required for client order are scheduled and ready for job order * Perform service work on client site timely and efficiently and are capable of communication with site personnel with respect to the scope of work to be done * Creating value added sales to the customer by recommending and applying products or services for ie: Auto Drains, Leak Detection, Oil Sampling etc. |
| Qualifications | REQUIREMENTS: Successful candidates will be a qualified Millwright, Electrician or posses a comparable trade. Experience with the following equipment ranges would enhance the Millwright certification. * Established technical skills built upon a trade or mechanical qualification * A prosperity to enjoy working on various customer sites within the Prince George geographical area * Customer interaction on varied sites with site decision makers * Lubricated rotary screw or centrifugal compressors * Vertical or horizontal pumps * Fire pumps and fire pump controllers * Electric motors or diesel engines * Control systems for mechanical equipment * Computer Literacy is a must as many of the troubleshooting tools used require the use of vendor specific programs * A safe working record is mandatory as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills * Valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract which will need to be submitted with resume * Able to travel to the USA for various manufacturers training courses * True team player that can work well with others independently with little supervision * Positive Attitude with a passion for your work and to your continued success in the company |
