Applicants accepted into the VIEW participate in a 12-week skills development program. The VIEW is a 25 hour/week commitment for which the individual may receive income support. The focus is on obtaining job search skills, employability and life skills and computer training in order to equip each participant for entry or re-entry into the workforce. Participants may also obtain certification (Foodsafe, WHMIS, First Aid, etc.) if needed. This program is available for individuals aged 50 and over.

Assisting individuals and families with skills to enhance quality of life and participation in their communities. Services are offered free of charge.
Services are flexible and tailored to best address individual needs. We offer one-on-one counselling and/or group sessions or providing advocacy to help you connect with the appropriate service provider in your community.
Participants must be referred by the Ministry of Housing and Social Development.
The Targeted Wage Subsidy Program assists individuals in securing long-term employment. Horton Ventures Inc. can negotiate an agreement with an employer that will subsidize part of the wage of a new employee who may not otherwise have been hired. Eligible participants in the Targeted Wage Subsidy Program normally have a proven work history and are interested in learning new skills while securing long-term employment.
Note: Wage subsidy agreements must be in place before a participant starts work.
